Our Story — From Austria to Appalachia
About
Built from Love, Seasoned with Heritage
Vienna Bier Garten is a family-owned Austrian restaurant nestled in the heart of LaFayette, Georgia — a cozy Southern town where small-town hospitality meets old-world tradition. Founded by an Austrian man and his American wife, the restaurant was born from a love story, a heritage of hospitality, and a deep respect for the recipes passed down through generations.
His mother taught his wife how to cook the meals he grew up loving. Through trips abroad, they stay in touch with their heritage and the food that is so dearly loved. Today, those same dishes are prepared in our kitchen — with care, authenticity, and soul. And yes, they’re that good. Our Viennese customers say our food is even better than what they had in Vienna.
Come see if you agree!

An Austrian Biergarten
Experience — Right Here in Georgia
Our space is modeled after the traditional beer gardens of Vienna — where long wooden tables invite strangers to sit side by side, sharing food, beer, and stories. It's more than just a place to eat — it’s a place to connect.
Whether it’s schnitzel, spaetzle, bratwurst, or freshly baked pretzels, everything we serve is homemade with intention and a touch of Austrian pride. We also feature a curated selection of European beers and local brews that pair beautifully with the rich, comforting dishes of our homeland.
This Isn’t Just a Restaurant. It’s a Cultural Table.
Traditional Recipes
Each dish we serve honors the recipes and memories of our founder’s childhood in Austria — carefully handed down, joyfully recreated.
A Place for Everyone
Our biergarten-style seating brings people together — no matter your background, story, or how many guests you come with.
A Taste of Vienna, A Heart of Georgia
We’ve combined the best of Austrian tradition and Southern hospitality — and we’re proud to call LaFayette home.
Copenhagen
From LaFayette to Chattanooga,

Whether you're celebrating with friends, bringing your family for dinner, or flying solo and hungry for something different — you'll find warmth here. Our team will welcome you like old friends, and you’ll leave feeling like family.
